Why are we so Down?
WTF IS HAPPENING?
Are we going to zero?
The recent market dip is complex and driven by many factors.
So, let's break it down…
Geopolitical Impact
Starting past Saturday, tensions between Iran and Israel increased, leading to greater caution on the part of investors.
Over $2.5 billion in crypto positions were liquidated
Trades overleveraging during last couple of weeks lead not to mass liquidations
Technical Side
What is also happening is that the current decline fits a pattern called a bull flag*
*An analysis pattern that recognizes price patterns and is thought to indicate that a price increase is about to occur.
If the market breaks above the flag, it could signal renewed bullish sentiment.
THEN WE'RE BACK AGAIN!!!
Bitcoin's Role
We know that Bitcoin influences the entire market.
His current dip is understandable considering the anticipation surrounding the upcoming Bitcoin halving* event.
*event that reduces the rate at which new Bitcoins are generated;
Analysts largely view the recent correction as "normal" within the context of Bitcoin's historical cycles.
Meaning, no panic, just normal cycles going on
Summary
Within crypto dynamics, always, and now even more, many things happen all at the same time.
Despite the complexities, we're witnessing a convergence of what many consider "normal" market movements, with and overlay of geopolitical tensions.
Tensions = (an amplifier in movements already present in the market)
With the "big picture" perspective, we can better try to understand what's going on and why.
As always, DYOR.
